To anyone planning on paying off your HMS mortgage early be very carefull of your penalty fees. My contract with them required I pay a 2% penalty fee and they tried to charge me 4.5%. Luckily I had read my papers and I had a great new mortgage company that fought the fees. Otherwise we would have paid the wrong amount and HMS would not have had a second thought about it. I have come to realize what a shady company they really are.
