Ripoff

Well I ordered a "Owning a Home with the Governments Help" book from now I know Gibbs Publishing. Shortly after I received a call from an middle eastern man which I couldn't understand very well, saying that he needed my account information and guaranteed me to qualify for a grant for at least $10,000.00. And if I didn't that I would receive my money back with in ten days.

Well I was convinced so I said okay and he told me that I could pick the day in which they could draft the money and then all the paperwork would be sent and to fill it out and send back. Well I decided on September 21 would be a good day to draft the money. Then I decided on the 15th of September that I would call and cancell, my husband didn't agree with me. SO I called and a ladie took the request to cancell and said to call back and confirm on friday the 17th.

I did, no answer at all, Monday no anser at all, now it's the 21st. Tuesday and I try to call no answer. Then Thursday morning I call to see my balance and a overdraft fee of $35.00 was taken out because guess who drafted my account anyway. I purposefully didn't put any money in that account for that reason. SO I called the 1-800-551-7099 number and finally someone answered. They said I waited to long and only had a certain amount of time to cancell my order and be refunded. I said the point was I said no, I do not want any money drafted, you did so I want to be reinbursed the overdraft fee.

The man Demitrius said he would put my request for my refund in but he wasn't positive that it would happen. He's never seen anyone be refunded. I made sure to get the name of the company he said the name was Consumer Grants and that the company Milestone contracted them for customer service he couldn't give any info on that company either. I am furious that I let someone con me. Not again! So I'm going to my bank and getting that charge refunded.
