Told hardship forbearance was possible, then denied a month later

I took out a student loan a few years ago to attend Caribbean medical school. I took a leave of absence for several reasons, and I got approved. I then transferred to another school where I was being harassed, so I took a leave of absence there as well. I have not been able to find any work for the past two or more years. The whole time I was attending this school and for the past two years or so, they have been indirectly harassing me.

Just recently I was told by a Citibank rep that I could have an economic hardship forbearance, but then a month later they told me I was not approved for it any longer.

A student loan company should offer economic forbearance to every student. I believe they are discriminating against me.

My "supposedly" cosigner cannot afford to make the payments, and I cannot make the payments either until I find good paying work. This company needs to stop harassing me, which is why I want to sue them. And they should offer forbearance in the first place.
