Cross Country Bank
Extra and hidden charges cost thousands for Seniors Citizen. Rip-off!

Business & Finance

Cross Country Bank has cost one Senior Citizen thousands of dollars in late and over the limit fees as well as Participation fees as well as charging her to call in to check on her account. She received an offer for their card and accepted on the basis of credit line, by the time the card and paperwork were received she found out that the $5,000.00 credit line was only $2,500.00 and over half of that was already charged to her account for handling and Participation.

Finance charges were already applied even though she had not even activated her account. Payments mailed far in advance of the due date were not posted until one day after the due date and more fees were incurred. Even registered mail though received in time according to Post Office tracking but still not posted until the day after.
Phone call charges mounted up each time a call was placed and she was left on hold. The collection calls were a nightmare and paying by phone just added extra charges.

When she was able to speak with someone they were extremely rude and condescending. The calls came one after another and each one more harrowing that the last.
When will a stop be put to this? Is it because they are based in Boca Raton that Florida has taken no action? Her credit in ruins, her health now an issue watch out for your loved one
