Everest Consumer Credit
Ripoff / Scam

Business & Finance

This company called me on a Sunday asking for 299 to work on my crdit and offered a Mastercard with a 2500 limit. After agreeing to the fee to be taken out about 3 weeks from now I did some searching on the web and found this site. I immediately called my bank and told them of the scam and the customer service rep. Said she has heard a lot about this particular company. To avoid the charge of stopping payment (which she said they can get around by resubmitting under different amounts) she suggested that I deactivate my checking account (if it was done by ATM or Checkcard deactivate it) and I will go to the bank tomorrow to have everything transferred to the new account. The only think I am hoping for now is that they call me back to try to get a new account number, so I can give them a piece of my mind.
