Everest Credit Consumer Services
Ripoff Called me by phone and claimed that I was approved for $2000.00 Visa or Master Card. They're a member of BBB

Tonight my husband received a call from a young lady named Peggy who asked for me by name. He thought that she may be someone I know, so he called me to the phone.
She told me that she was with the Everest Credit Consumer Services and that I had previously applied for a credit card with a bank that I used and had been turned down because of poor credit, but she could offer me a Visa or Master Card credit card and that Everest Credit Consumer Services would moniter my payments and if I would agree to pay at least the minimum payment each month, I would receive the card.

There also would be no fees or charges to receive this card. All I needed to do was verify my information and give her my Bank's name, and phone number. She would let me speak to someone else who would verify that all the information was correct and they would give me a confirmation number. She gave me her extention number and a number that I must use if I felt that I needed to call back with any questions.

Then she asked what accounts did I have with my bank; checking or savings? For them to verify that I used that bank I also needed to give her my checking account number.

All of this was really smelling fishy to me. I asked her if she could send me all this information in the mail and she stated that I would be receiving all the paper work in the mail in a few days but I needed to give her my checking routing number and account number and then my credit card would arrive in 3 days.

I never give out my checking info over the phone! The credit limit was too high if Everest Credit Consumer Services thought I was a high risk. She said I had nothing to worry about. The Company was a member of the Better Business Bureau. Little did she know that I have no respect for the BBB and I believe they are a rip off too! I told her that I do not make decisions over the phone and I do not give out my bank info over the phone. She said that there was no way for her or the company to take money out of my account unless I agreed for them to do it. I told her I knew of too many it had happened to. She said this card would help me return my credit to a better rating. Then she told me she would give me a little time and call back. She hung up!

Thank God for intuition! My husband and I decided to check out Everest Credit Consumer Services and found them listed here on Rip off Report.com! We were saved from another rip off!
