Aspire Visa
Ripoff dishonest Extortion lies failure to respond

Business & Finance

Last year I transfered my excessively high rate aspire visa card to a lower rate card. After conformation of this I called the service # & told the rep to cancel my account. After 2 months of getting billing statements showing a zero $ balance I again called an asked why I was getting these statements when my acct was paid in full after the acct transfer was confirmed & again asked them to terminate my acct to which they replied the acct was cancelled. (1st lie) Then I received a bill months later for $7.00 dollars which I ignored.

Then another bill months later showing a $63.00 charge for the month of June between which I had no billing statements but I did have late fees & high rate interest accruing which is why I transfered the acct in the first place. After this I called & asked how these charges could have accured when I had cancelled my acct last year to which they said it was never cancelled!

(Lie #2) I again asked them to terminate the acct & asked for a supervisor to call me back which they never did. Now the bill me for 199.00 dollars & send me some pay away promotion @ 0% interest which at least is better then the 37.75 % APR they are charging me now but this kind of extortion is total crap since none of this billing should have accured in the first place if they would have cancelled my acct when I told them too. They are totally playing stupid as if they dont know exactly what their doing. Why would anyone pay their excessive rates which at the time I transfered was 30%APR when you can pay 14% or less with another card.

They should be thoroughly investigated by the federal banking commission or somebody. I would suggest to anyone who reads this report to spread the word & never use this company. Maybe if enough people do this we can put them out of business.
