Ripoff Tripled my Interest without ever being late or going over credit limit!

I have had a First USA/BankOne card for several years. We had an interest rate of 8.49% on our card and made all our payments on time and paid more than the minimum amount due.

However, because we had high credit (from opening our own business) they increased our rate to 24.99%! When I called to inquire I was told I was sent a new contract agreement. I NEVER remember seeing it as I'm sure they bunch it in with a bunch of junk. I pleaded with them to allow me to close my account at the original 8.49% rate and they REFUSED. They said the time was up to be able to do that and were extremely rude.

Had I been late or went over my limit I could understand this but I thought I was playing by the rules. They changed the rules in the middle of the game! It was unethical, a real bait and switch. Now that the card is almost at its limit they make sure it stays there by charging such unheard of interest that it's hard to pay any down on it. HOW DARE THEY DO THIS! Something must be done.
