Refuses to reimburse annual renewal fee even though the account was cancelled 2 months prior. All documentation of such cancellation was provided to them and yet they continue to refuse reimbursement

I had a one year subscription with ipage for webhosting. The renewal date was mid august.in June I contacted them to cancel the autorenewal and received an email from them indicating the account was cancelled and would not renew. Then I started receiving emails from ipage that my service was scheduled to be renewed - so I contacted them again and was told "don't worry, the acct is cancelled these are just computer generated notices, your acct will not be renewed." Today I looked at my bank statement and sure enough they stole $ from my bank acct. I contacted ipage for a refund and was told they knew I had cancelled the acct in June but I didn't answer their subsequent emails about the renewal so that meant I wanted it renewed. So, don't use them... They won't let stop an autorenewing acct. I asked them what more I could have done besides cancel the acct and then followup that the acct was cancelled and they have not responded. I filed a complaint with the FTC Bureau of Consumer Complaints. It's not a lot of $ but they robbed me of it.
