Bank of America Customer Service is the worst I've ever experienced! - Bank of America Military assistance

I'm trying to get my home loan modified because I am required to move to within 30 minutes of my duty station. I'm currently assigned to an emergency response team in Colorado (Civil Support Team, Weapons of Mass Destruction) that requires me to respond to my unit within 30 minutes. I have PCS orders but because of irresponsible lending, my property is currently up side down by close to $100,000. I can't compete with the current rental rates in the area so I can't rent it or sell it.
I've contacted my bank and was met with a staff of customer service techs that are completely clueless about the mortgage industry let alone the programs offered by Bank of America. I have been trying to get a modification for 8 Months and made more than a dozen phone calls with 0 results!!! Other than FRUSTRATION!
The best advice I've gotten from them is to do a short-sale, which means I have to get the house sold for the bank (no effort from them) and it still screws my credit??? Why should I help the bank sell my house when they can't even help me?
This entire organization should be shut down. I will never do business with Bank of America again.
