NCO Financial
Ripoff: attempted credit card fraud by fraudulant billling

Business & Finance

I recieved a phone call from a Ron Hamilton who is employed by NCO Financial in Philadelphia saying I owed Capitol 1 credit card over $200. He insisted I give him a check over the phone to settle this account. I was just as insistant that I would not and that I would send them a check in the mail in a few days.

I checked with the credit card company and was told that I had a zero balance due as the account had been paid off in May. They then cancelled my existing account and reissued a new number to me.

Capitol 1 now has this firm under investigation as does the Consumer Fraud Division of the Michigan State Police. The Detective I spoke with at the MSP post said they will also report this activity to the FBI for action.
