Security deposit scam

The modus operandi of this company is to hang on to your security deposit for as long as possible. These people are basically time wasters as it works in their favour - if you ring up and enquire about your yet to be returned security deposit you will be given the impression that it is about to be returned. It never is of course and so it goes on.

Don't waste time phoning these people, it's what they want you to do to put off any action against them. If your deposit is not returned within 7 days of the vehicle being returned, write to them by email and also by recorded delivery to demand the return of your deposit within seven days. Also take it up with your credit card company (if payment made that way at least you get some protection).

Keep records of correspondence and be prepared to take legal action sooner rather than later if necessary.
