Consumer Capital Services
Fraudulent Credit Offer Princeton

Business & Finance

This Friday evening around 9:00 PM, I received a phone call (Caller ID labeled "OUT OF AREA") from a pleasant young woman named "Naomi Jackson" representing an organization that she identified as "Consumer Capital Services". She ran through a very well scripted scenario and was well trained on sticking to the script which was an offer to re-build my credit with offers of a 0% APR, no fee Visa and Mastercard with Credit Limits of $1,500 and $2,500 respectively. The only cost associated with this service was a single lifetime fee of $279 which she generously offered to break into two easy payments:)

We talked for a while and she informed me that the line was being monitored for quality assurance and to ensure no false claims were made. While on the phone with her I went online to find out about the company. Thank God for this site, without it I may have seriously considered her claims. I asked if they had a website, her response was that "it's under construction" (very well rehearsed).

We talked more about the offer, it really sounded good, then I asked about the bank or financial institution that financed the Credit Card, she stated that no bank was financing the offer this was from a corporate entity. (BELLS/WHISTLES/ALARMS went off in my head). I let her claim rest (no sense arguing) and continued to see what the offer included.

When I asked for material supporting her claims she stated she could mail me the packet, so I let her. I highly doubt I'll ever see it. From what I can tell the people calling really don't have a clue as to the malicious nature of the company they represent they are simply good telemarketers. It also looks like they frequently move the location of the company avoiding Better Business Bureau claims and probably Law Enforcement. They are so confident in their model that she even told me to check with the BBB.

While I was on the phone with her I decided to search the organizations name - usacomplaints.com showed up several times and I read through the articles as her speech continued. Once her rant subsided I informed her of some of the claims I had read about her company being illegitmate. Her response was a very mild reaction, she said "Thank you for the information, it's good to know that type of information is out there about our company, this is the first time I've heard of this. I told her I would have to validate the claims and get back with her she agreed with me and she even gave me her extension which of course is impossible to reach given that the 866 206 1427 number is a cell phone with a full Voice Mail box, the VM says it belongs to "Customer Service" and that's it no other identification is provided.

It is my sincere hope that others will read this and the several other dozen complaints about this organization or ones similar to it and simply hang up the phone. I haven't decided how to approach this from a legal perspective, but I'm sure several state and federal statues have been violated.
