Should I trust them?

My mortgage was purchased in November. I to am behind on the mortgage and had an arrangement with my other lender Litton. When Ocwen took over it became null and void and also they would not accept anything other than full payments. I went through the procedures of paper work to do a deed in lieu since I was told my home would probably go up for foreclosure. Then after doing all the paperwork I was told I was ineligible for the program and they wanted to settle.

It is very frustrating when you call since you have to discuss it all over each time and generally get a different decision or advice each time. It doesn't seem like everyone is on the same page. They schedule phone calls for weeks in advance and then usually don't have any answers when the calls take place and then just reschedule.

Now, I was offered a very generous settlement on my mortgage but can I trust it? That is the question. I am going for an attorney to look at the papers but I am wondering if anyone else has been given a generous offer and if it was legite.
