Ripoff dishonest and continued billing after payoff of mortgage fraudulent billing

On dec. 29th pcfs was paidoff, since i refinanced with ameriquest, in the meantime i made an online mortgage payment from the story i got from Mr. Terry McClain from pcfs, then the payoff was received and check cashed on 1/02/04.

Three months later i get a call that i still had an open mortgage with them and that they wanted their money. Mr. McClain kept calling me and harrassing me and then told me that i was in pre-foreclosure, i paniced and opened and credit account and took a cash advance and paid them 2,400 and still they stated i still owed them 4,000. That my account was accuring late charges and interest, i did not understand any of this so i gathered all of my phone numbers and called first american title whom made the payoff and was told that pcfs had in fact cashed the payoff check, then i proceeded to call my attorney and suddenly they reversed all of the charges.

They had 30 days to dispute the payoff, the reason that pcfs tells me my morgage was still active was because they did not take my ach (online) payment, because they received the payoff, then down the road (3) months later they realize that due to their bad bookkeeping they came after me for their error. Mind you this is 3 months later. And i have already been paying Ameriquest my mortgage company. Least to say that they have ruined my creit rating. I have to get credit but have been turned down due to report of foreclosure report from pcfs. I spoke to the supervisor of Mr McClain, a Mr. Jones and he assured me that they would clarify this immediately with the 3 credit bureau's, which has not been done to date.

Now i have a computer generated statement from pcfs and they have reversed all of the charges but my 2,400 does not show up anywhere. I will contact my credit card company to see if i can recouperate my money. I don't know what to do. Please advise. Thank You in advance.
