Being Harassed to pay off a debt with CitiBank

While I was on vacation a certain Mr. Peter Lee called my place of work several times spoke with some of my co-workers stating that he was calling to serve me a subpoena about a certain debt I have with CitiBank. This information he disclosed with several of my co-workers. When one of them started asking him questions he got pissed and said that they wanted to speak with me and that I need to call the number they gave. He said stuff like garnishment and tax payments. Etc. And that they know that I have a property in my name. He asked for me to pay the whole amount at first then when I said I dont have that much money right now, he said he'll see what he can do and when I kept on saying that I need some time to look for some money he got aggravated and said that he does not think that I am taking everything seriously while he was trying to do everything to help me out. The amount went down to about $3,000 that he needs by the end of the month and he said that he still does not know if it will be approved. Why would I give them that much money when I dont even have an assurance that that's all I will have to pay?
