Citifinancial Retail Services ripoff / posting pymnt to someone elses account because i gave them the account # they gave me!

My husband wanted to build line of credit so he bought our new sofa on credit. We thought it was credit from the store. Never were we told he would get a credit card from citifinancial. The first mistake was the card was only in my husbands name. So when we moved (the reason for the new sofa) I go to pay the sofa off (less than a month later), i was told i had to deal with these clowns. (at the credit card place)
When i called them they did not have paper work from furniture place yet (about 3 weeks later). That's when the trouble started.

I tried to get them to change our address so we could get a statement from them. "No", only my husband could change the address since he was the only one on the card. They tell me they have sent st. To old address but i have not received anything yet. (my husband works very long hours and can not get to phone on their scheduled hours)

You can go to their automated system and cancel "HIS" card which "I" did but they will not let "ME" change our address.

My husband did get a letter confirming his closed account. It was forwarded on from the mail man, which makes me wonder where the st. Is they claim they mailed.
I mailed a ck for pymnt in full 6-28-04 and called 07-13-04 to see if ck was posted yet. No. So finally i told my husband he had to call. They told him to stop pymnt. I called my bank on 7-14-04. The ck was cashed on 7-6-04 but they have not posted to his acct yet. Why, because they told me the acct # which is the # on the credit card was invalid and because my signature was on it, not his.

His name is on the ck. All they had to do was pull up his name and see if they had an acct for him. To much trouble i guess. And now they don't know where my payment is. They need copy of ck to see where they posted it to. I work at a hospital posting pymnts all day long.

Never would we just post a pymnt JUST ANYWHERE! These people are top grade losers.
I know you say not to degrade or call names but, unless you have delt with these clowns, you have no clue. I have talked to 5 people there and that includes 2 supervisors and they are all just as crazy.

I'm venting i know but, if they think I'm gonna let $1000.00 just float around and they are going to get another penny out of me they really are crazy. I really do think they are out to ruin people.

Never and i mean NEVER have i had this much trouble with credit card companies. I didn't want his blood type, i just wanted to change our address so we could get a st and have a fair chance to pay the bill.
