Atlantic Fleet Federal Credit Union Added "fees" without adequate notification

This is ancient history, but will make me feel better about losing $15.

I had a share draft account from my U.S. Navy days with this credit union. I had to put a minimum of $25 in it to join to obtain a credit card, which I have to this very day. I received quarterly statements, and over the years had about $26 and some change in the account - trivial interest on top of my initial account amount.

I get my quarterly statement one day, and note I have $15 now. I call the bank and they state, no, you actually have $10 now. Since they had sold off the credit card business, they implemented a 'no activity' fee of $5 per month - and 3 months had passed. I stated I had no notification of that, and I want my $25. The girl on the phone states when she can do is cancel the account, and send about $6.75 to me - a couple more dollars deducted in fees to mail me a hard check, insult to injury.

I filed a compliant with the Tidewater BBB, who were impotent and did nothing.
