Request to remove personal information not honored

Nelnet is giving me a run-around about removing my personal information from their system. By law, with any company, when you request your personal information to be removed from their database, they are to do so within 2 business days and provide you proof that they have done so. This law refers to the Privacy Act of 1974. This also includes collection agencies as well.
