Ripoff-property taxes Jacksonville, And SLC and Utah

I owed back property taxes due to the fact that they refused to add them in with my house payment. Therefore, when they came due, it was impossible for me to come up with a large lump sum. I don't remember who the original lender was, but I find it interesting that they were in Jacksonville, FL... The same city as Fairbanks!

Fairbanks, without notifiying me until AFTER the fact, paid the taxes for me in October of then jacked up my house payment. Then, they claimed they paid MORE taxes April 29. Taxes were not even DUE until JULY and furthermore, would not have been as much as the check Fairbanks CLAIMED it sent!

I called the county tax department the middle of May and they said they never got the check, and would have returned it in any case because it was more than I WOULD owe. They also told me they keep copies of everything, and had no copies. They claim they never got the check.

I waited until the check would have PLENTY of time to reach Ohio, and called the tax department again... Still no check from Fairbanks. I called Fairbanks again, and they claimed they had recieved the check BACK from my county tax department.

They tried to raise my house payment by over $300!! Thank God I kept fighting it. I am still in danger of losing my house because I can't afford the payment now, so I'm trying to refinance to get away from these shark-infested waters!!
