Ex-employee expresses opinion HOSTILE WORK ENVIRONMENT PREDATORY LENDING MISTREATMENT

I cannot speak for the entire company, but I can speak for the Branch in which I was employed.

First let me say that it is not necessary for anyone to be talked to the way the managers and "want to be" managers do. I did not realize until coming out on the sales floor, how horrible it really was. And then I woke up.

I processed for a year at this company, and was totally passed over for a senior position, which was given to the manager's buddy who had only processed for a couple of months. I literally gave more of my life to this company in that year than I did my family! I came into work every day around 7-8 and was ALWAYS there until 8 or later, usually later. Worked Saturdays, and even an occasional Sunday if something needed to be done.

I was very disheartened when I was passed over, particularly for someone who had a nervous breakdown on the sales floor, and is currently still on medication to keep his wits about him! I was very dedicated and loved my job, so I just put it on the back-burner, so to speak, but it still upsets me.

I was offered to move out onto the sales floor, (I think because our mgr's other buddy was about to lose his job for not producing enough loans) so I did, and that's when I became a (pardon my expression) "MF".

I was one of those for about 6 months, producing or not, along with all the other account executives in our office, who are probably afraid to speak out, for fear of losing their jobs. How can you be productive when you are constantly in an environment where you are being told how crappy you are? And if you are not one of the "chosen ones" that constantly suck up or a buddy that has been hired in, then you probably will not last.

I just want to say that before going out on the sales floor, I never realized how bad it really was, I always heard it from everybody else, but you have to experience it to know first hand how it really is. I could go on and on, but I won't, just know some people in this company have no respect nor regard for others, and that is really sad.
