Ripoff Notary services used, not paid Florida Branches Florida

We are a notary service that has handled signings through out the state of Florida, mostly for the West Coast and Orlando area. Since the loan officers are so "green" we would sometimes have to make 2,3 or 4 trips to get the documents signed correctly. They branch managers, loan officers and processors would always approve the extra trips and tell us to invoice them. There were also times that our fee would be removed from the HUD and we were told to bill them directly, however, in the Ameriquest computers it shows our fee being wired to the title company. When we have spoken with the title company, they tell us the file was "Short to Close" and we need to bill Ameriquest per the processors. When would turn in invoices some would get processed and some left behind and over a year or two these can add up. We were told by the branch managers to get them our invoices and they would get them processed. The processors never had time. Our invoices have NEVER been disputed. We have a large filing cabinet full of documentation of all the loans we have handled. All of the notaries that we contracted have been paid, but we are still holding $28K in outstanding invoices. We have hired an attorney and he has spoked with the Ameriquest Attorneys. On 11/9 we were to get a check for all outstanding invoices except for around 30 that they wanted to see if the title company was responsible for. Now they want to see if our closers really closed those loans. More stalling on their part. We are a small company and gave them a service in good faith. HOW CAN THEY BE ALLOWED TO DO THIS? They spend 10's of thousands of $'s to send loan officers and managers all over the country, but they can't pay their vendors. Our next step is to file in the courts, with still no guarantee that they will pay. (And yes we have personally witnessed all of the fruad that everyone talks about). This company needs to have a reality check! If anyone has any advice on how to get our money and closure on a company that I never want to do business with again, I would love to speak to you. This has gone on to long.
