Refusal of lien release

Santander purchased the mortgage on my collection after I'd funded it thru HSBC. I chose to market a few years later. The financial institution sent the benefit thru January 20th. Santander included financing costs thru February 2nd. They declined to deliver the loan discharge till I settled the consideration thru February 2nd. They stated they'd pay whichever part they experienced was owed - approximately 45 days later! Whey do they reach maintain my cash for 45-day?!!! Perhaps to attract attention from my cash in addition to everyother client they are doing this to?
