Rip-off Housing Mortgage Solution: This is not a Bank

I contacted Jason Auerbach (and Kielley Young) in connection with a purchase of an apartment (the building was a new construction and not FM approved). Their contact was given to me by the developer. They explained to me that they had "pre-approved" the building and were acting as a "Bank" for the financing. I spent several weeks working with them, sent them a lot of personal and financial information, until they disappeared without any notice. I later found out that they are not a Bank as they represented to me, but simply brokers. Since they could not find any solution, as I was buying the first unit sold in the building, they simply disappeared and never responded. Needless to say, theirs were the worst rates I found, well above market rates and including almost 1.5% point of commission for their "wonderful" job. Because of them, I lost time, and missed other opportunities. Don't work with them, unless it's really an emergency.
