JK Harris is especially BAD, but ANYONE who advertises 'settle with the IRS for pennies on the dollar' beware - it is a SCAM. They will just take your money (A LOT of it), have you sign a form so it makes it seem like they are doing something for you and... NOTHING! I am in the tax industry and I know first hand how settlements work with the IRS. VERY FEW ARE ACCEPTED!!! Not everybody qualifies. If you want to save yourself time and heartache, keep your money. Go to www.irs. Gov and get the checklist for an 'Offer in Compromise'. Go through the checklist and see if you qualify. The IRS has a lot of factors they consider. If after you go through the checklist and believe you may qualify, consult a LOCAL tax office in your area. Ask if they prepare Offers in Compromise. Be sure to check out their business before you 'buy'. It REALLY peeves me to see these ads on TV and know people are going to be scammed.
