A Scam Credit Card Company

This card starts with a$75 limit...$300-initial fees of 225. I used $75 total during the wholelife of the card and when I opted out of the overlimit program they offered, they cancelled my account. I never receveied anything from this company bill wise or and any letter what so ever. They then charged my "Closed account" $70 a month for 12-14 months until a $75 limit grew to $1293 in collections. So, $1218 of fees for a lousy small limit credit card? This has heppened to 10's of thousands comsumers and this company preys on people who have less than stellar credit then hit them with so many fees and nonsense that it ends up hurting that consumer trying for a a second chance.in fact, this company was sued by the feds for these reasons. Now, I am not a leach and I will and always wanted to pay what I owe, maybe even a little more to satisfy interest and initial fees I agreed to. But once this scam of a company started trying to steal my money I was advised by my lawyer not to send anything until dispute over. A fair amount for me to pay is no more than $400. They still make a killing, $325 for $75 in purchases, any credit card co would love that. Aspire Visa has a long documenetd history of ripping consumers off, predatory lending in fact. Im trying to pay what I owe, no more and in fact this actually even falls off my credit report next year but Im trying to do the right thing but I will not be taken advantage of and then bullied by their collection agency.
