EMC Mortgage ripoff Is this FAIR, if so tell me HOW! Irving Texas

First off EMC bought our Mortgage from Superior Bank and the fact that it was purchased by anyone made me a happy person, because of all the treats and the way we were being treated by them (SB) (harrising phone calls, treats of violence, forcloser treats after only being 28 days late). I thought, how wonderful, a new company, a new start. How wrong I was.

EMC took over the loan in August (I think) anyway, at that time our principle was 64,356 and now it is almost 72,000. And HOW may you ask? WELL, I just really dont know. It started in November 02 when the mortgage payments fell behind, I admit fault to that affect, but come on now, we were 2 payments behind in December and made a payment in January which we were still 2 payments behind, payments of 608 a month, then we were unable to make a payment again in Feb, which put us 3 payments behind March payment made, April payment made but was late, so it went into Forcloser in May for a total of 4 payments late fees.

So by my calculations I am 3 payments behind and due 1 more for May. But not to them, to them I owe $11,292.95 NOT the $2432 LATE FEES I knew I owed them. Why that much??? HUMMMMM I don't know, But I set up a Payment plan to stop Foreclosure and paid $1500 down in June and payments of $1009 a month to keep the home. I have been paying this for 8 months a total of $9572 and I still owe almost $72,000.

I was also charged for insurance $1300 in January 03 and $1300 in November 03,2 times in less than a year. When I ask about the reason for it they couldn't tell me. And the statment that was sent to show the IRS the amount paid in, it stated $4780 was paid in for the whole year when there was no possiblity of that, more than $7000 was paid in just 7 months.

If anyone can explain how these figures are possible or legal please do so. And if there is a Lawyer who is interested I would like to know. Thanks for your interest. Lets stop this type of, for a lack of better words, CRAP from happeing.
