CR Venture Card CR Ventures, LLC is a MAJOR ripoff! They literally stole $89 from my account!

CR Ventures, LLC got access to my Social Security Number as a result of my application for an online cash advance/pay day loan. Suffice it to say, a representative (he called himself Mark) called me with my information and gave me a line about this insanely high level of credit access, I think $9K, and I responded, "Wow, that's very high considering my credit score is not great, what's the catch?" He responded that "We offer a credit card that helps people just like you get back on track, and we report your purchases to credit reporting agencies to let them know you're re-establishing your credit." I further inquired why was CRV so generous in wanting to help and he said it would cost me $89.00 for this "credit card" that has a line of credit for over $9K. When I heard that, I got skeptical and said, "No thanks."

Next thing I know, he said something really fast and unintelligible and then hung up. Suffice it to say, a short while later, I got my bank statement and guess what... CR Ventures actually charged me $89.00. Today, I called three different "locations" they claimed, one being Salt Lake City, UT and the other being Wilmington, DE.

I've spoken to Mark, Josh Taylor, and Todd yet no one was willing to reverse this charge.in fact, Josh and Todd told me I'd have to fax a copy of my bank statement to them letting them know I've been charged. They both had the audacity to claim their system had no record that my account had been charged. Yet, miraculously, their systems said I "cancelled my membership before the card was mailed, but there was no record my account had been charged."

To say this is shady is a dire understatement. And, what makes it worse is that they are VERY, VERY rude, perhaps because they KNOW they're ripping people off and try to run you off the phone. Sorry, CR Venture vultures, I'm not backing down, so we'll see how this develops.

Times are too rough in general and particularly in the economy today, yet you have no conscious about ripping people off. Shame on you all!
