Household Finance - HFC - Benefical Finance
Fraud, ripped off for $5000.00 plus 30%. This all resulted in giving me bad credit. HFC refuses to set record straight

HFC sent a $5000.00 check in my name to someone other then me and not to my address. That person must have cashed the $5000.00 and keep the money. HFC then without notifing me added the $5000.00 plus 30% interest on to my already existing account I have with them.

My wife went into HFC's office to make our regular payment and was told our account was paid in full.By the way, I had made every payment on time and had very good credit.

I recently applied for credit and was refused. Upon checking my credit report (cost out of my pocket) I discovered for the first time HFC reported I was late on my so called payments and they had cancelled my credit line and that was why my credit suddenly was reported to be bad by the three credit agencies.

I immediately contacted HFC, I was told they had added the $5000 to my account (which I did not get) and had closed out previous good standing account. Now I'm left holding the bag for money I did not get and as a result what I did get is undeseving bad credit.

HFC, refuses to set the record start at this point and will only say they are researching the matter. If I can't manage to get this matter cleared up within a reasonable time I intent to sue. Or would join others in their law suit and I'm inviting others to join with me and looking for other good ideas and ways to clear my good name for 60 years.
