Told extra $1,600 owed after deferred payments were made up

During the time my loan was with Citifinancial everything went smoothly. I had contact with them only 2 times, when I asked for a deferred payment. Both times CitiFinancial gave me 2 months. My loan was due in January, and I made 4 extra payments to Santander for the 4 deferred payments. I was getting ready to start watching the mail for my title but to my surprise I received a visitor instead, wanting to repossess the car. When I showed them the receipts on line where I had made all of my payments they left. I called Santander and they told me I owe an extra $1600. I have no choice but to send them a MoneyGram today just to keep my car from being repossessed.
