Capitol Acquisition And Managment Company ripoff demeaning, harassing

Camco is using harassing and demeanig tactics to collect a debt that is 18 yrs. Old. The debt was charged off many years ago and has not been been on our credit report. They call at least 2 times a day both at our home phone and my husband's place of employment. We have both told them several times not to call my husband at work but the calls keep coming.

They have called relatives claiming my husband filled out an application for credit and need to verify information and most recently told my son a similiar story.

These people are rude and threatening and won't let you get a word in edge wise. They've brought up religious and moral obligations to pay them. The last person I spoke to from Camco, Joe Ortiz, admitted to me that he doesn't use his real name for fear that someone could come into the office, ask for Joe Ortiz, and put a bullet in his head. He wanted me to give him post dated checks for the next six months for at least $25.00 each as a good faith payment and then reevaluate after six months.

I am in the process of writing a Cease and desist letter but all I have is a P. O box address and don't think I can send a certified to a P.O. Box. If anyone can help please contact me. Also, how do you go about finding any class action suits Camco has going against them and how to join the plaintiff list. I have searched the web with no luck.

These people have to be stopped. They are making the lives of many people absolutely miserable as well as threatening people's jobs with the calls to their place of employment.
