First National Bank Of Omaha
Ripoff, raising interest rates even after closing account to any further purchases, never late, high balances excellent custome

Business & Finance

This story is about my husband who has the best credit of any person I know. He is NEVER late on any bill. So recently he got a statement telling how his interest would jump from 10.9 to 17.99 and I was floored. He called to find out the bank felt he had high balances and only paid the minimum. Since when is that a breach of contract? He was paying the minimum to pay off smaller cards and how would making him pay more help ANY situation? That is only the half of it. I looked to see if others had this problem when I ran across the idea that some request their account closed to any future purchases and keep their current rate; although, should you use the card in the future, you automatically agree to the new terms. He calls again; and again, he is told forget it... This seems like it should be unfair business practice at the least. He was told in no uncertain terms if he was not happy to take his business to another company. How many credit card companys say that? Good customers should not be treated this way, it is simply wrong and unjust.
