Student Loan

Have a student loan with Citibank. They took over our loan in 2003 according to our credit report. We made a 5,000 initial payment and after that they kept taking out our payment amount for 15 months by automatic withdrawal from our checking account. That was okay. Then after 3 they didn't take out any more payments until just recently 5 and it was interest only plus they charged us 650 plus $'s in interest on top of that. Could not talk to anyone who could give me any information. We assumed that since they quit taking payments that the loan was paid off. We are more than willing to pay the orignal amount owed from our credit history with them. The supervisors that I talked to on the phone offered me little information and insisted that they bought it out in 2006 and don't even seem to know what is going on. I'm frustrated and angry with their customer service supervisors. Have talked to two supervisors who claim the loan was bought by them in but our account history and credit report shows differently. Are you kidding me??? These loan payments were automatic withdrawals from our account. Why did they stop taking payments 5 years ago? I'm going to report them to the Better Business Bureau if I don't get this resolved in a timely manner. I want this resolved over the phone by someone who can do that without me having to go to great lengths with writing letters to their investigation team. Delbert Clark, Eureka, Ca 95503
