Call claiming my husband was a reference for a neighbor's child

I received a call this morning stating my husband was a reference regarding one of their customers, a person we don't even know. It was a call to our home phone, which we rarely use and never give the number out to anyone! When I returned the call to let them know that, they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about. Come to find out the person they were referring to is one of my neighbor's kids, whom we barely know. We never agreed to be a reference for her either. The next time they call I will answer and they will not like what they are going to hear! Apparently what they did was find my husband's name and our home number in the white pages and proceed to harass us about their customer's account!
