Tried to Cancel

Tried to do loan modification and get lower interest rate. But when they told me my payment would be higher and i had to escrow i told them to cancel it. They went ahead and paid the one quarter taxes and part of my home owners insurance without my knowledge and never signed any papers. I've never been late with my payments. They also reported me to the credit bureaus and ruined my credit. They said they would restore my credit but that didn't seem to happen. Today i got a letter from PHH saying i owe them money and if i don't pay by the end of month they will report me to the credit bureaus.
