Did not refund my $149.00 after I immediately cancelled agreement nor did I receive further info. From them

A telemarketer called offering me a credit card and some $50.00 gas cards, and to repair my credit all for $149.00. Then they asked for my bank account # which I informed the woman I did not like to give out over the phone. She assured me it was just to verify my information. After agreeing she informed me that $149.00 would be deducted from my checking account on 12/26/03. After I hung up I gave this some thought & immediately called back to cancel. I got a voice mailbox and had to leave a message.

I left several messages to cancel this offer. NO ONE CALLED ME BACK!!! On 12/29/03 $149.00 was withdrawn from my account. I immediately called and got another voice-mailbox. I left 3 messages before someone finally returned my call. I explained that I wanted the offer cancelled and my $149.00 refunded.

I was assured this would happen. This call took place on Jan. 7. I also sent a Certified Letter - Return Receipt on Jan. 8. This was received & signed for by Sandra Greene of CR Bancorp on 1/12/04.
As of Jan. 21 the $149.00 has not been refunded to my account!!! I called again today (1/21/04) & left another message for someone to call me. I cannot afford to have this $149.00 taken from my account. It caused me $108.00 in overdraft fees already!!! Please help me get my $149.00 back.
