I secured a contract with Homesafeamerica in November. After clearly explaining my financial hardship with my Bank and it's lagging time to obtain a mortgage modification for me, I was convinced that Homesafeamerica could help me. I was told that I needed to contract with them at a total amount of $2,500 and that they guarantee (full refund) if they would be unable to secure me a modification. I sent over forty pages of documents which I had to resend several times as they could not confirm all recept. I spoke to several people, telephone numbers were frequently changed. Promised updates, communication with my Bank's attorneys as well as the bank. Always told all was being reviewed by the Bank. Subsequent to Homesafeamerica's association with me, I was told to attend a Court conference between me and the bank. This date was in January. As the date approached, Homesafeamerica would not be present with me in court. I was sent a workout sheet with incorrect information that would not assist me in securing a modification.in the final analysis, I was not a qualifier due to lack of income to support a modification but Homesafeamerica took my hard earned, sacrificed money of $2,500 nonetheless. I was lied to and spoken to by Howard that I would get my refund. I have sent a certified letter which was signed for and left several messages asking for communication and my refund. As of today, March 3, no response. I will be sending a formal complaint to the AttorneyGeneral's Office today. Shame on you Homesafeamerica. You take advantage of people who come to you with their financial hardships and abuse them even further. Don't know how people like this can exist. You will be shut down. Don't know how these folks live with themselves. Liars!
