Requesting payment of returned check

I obtained a notice within the mail from cps protection of a returned check they said must be paid. Nicely, this check was paid in nov. 2010 to audit systems inc. I named cps protection and asked the guy about the phone why i had been getting this when it had been paid, and a few months after the very fact. He was completely impolite, arrogant and unprofessional. He explained to call review methods to allow them to inform cps. Why am i needing to undergo all of this difficulty? It appears as though they study the records and after a couple of months, wish you neglect whether you paid finished or not, and try to obtain you to pay again. This can be a fraud. After i named back cps after he hung on me, he explained he was not likely to get in the centre of the, and hung on me again. It has got to prevent. Anything needs to be done about these collection agency harrassments.
