Business & Finance

I was contacted by phone on November 12 regarding an unsecured credit card of a $2000 credit limit for a fee of $299 that could be deducted from my checking account. I was a little skeptical, but proceeded to ask questions and they had all the right answers. It was almost Christmas and I did need the extra money and they assured me I would receive my card in 10-15 days by Fed-Ex.

I called back several times before I was unsure about the transaction. Each time I tried calling the lines were always busy or I was put on hold for long periods of times. This is what made me all the more suspicious of the company. I called on December 12 and was told I had the wrong # that it was an escrow company, not a credit card company. I hit redial on my phone and got someone else. I explained to him what happened and he said he didn't know why that person told me that. He assured me I would receive my card in 15-20 days. I continued calling to see if I would get the same story.

I could never get through and was often cut off. I spoke with someone named Chris Mitchell on 12/23/03 and he told me I would receive my card on 12/29/03. I told him I would definitely call back if I didn't receive my card on 12/29. These people had a different story every time I called. They were also very rude to say the least.

This has definitely taught me a lesson and I will never do business with anyone that contacts me and I will definitely never give out my account information to anyone.
