MWI Memberworks ripoff. One way to prevent Internet

I've had a similar experience... And have advice on how to prevent it from happening. Whenever I open a new credit card account, or any other type of account when I call to activate the card I make sure I speak with a rep and ask them to have my name and information supressed from any information sharing such as third party and affiliates. This is how this company and others like it get your information. Also... If you recieve those little checks, for a small dollar amount... DESTROY them. DO NOT deposit them, by doing that, you're enrolling in the program. Hope this information will help others as it has helped me.
