Agressive ripoff attempt

I got a phone call this morning to receive a credit card. I cut it short, and said no thanks. I couldn't believe it when the woman immediately called me back! She offered a card with 0% interest and a $2500 limit. She wanted my checking account info, but I told her no, because a detective friend told me never to do that. (You'd think she would have quit then!)

Upon my insistance, she gave me the address and phone number of CR Bancorp, thinking that I would call THEM as a means of checking them out. Can you believe that she said she would call back this Friday??!

I didn't know they are a scam. The offer sounded too good to be true, but as she kept me on the phone, it began to sound better. Her agressiveness in trying to get my bank account information was what set the red lights flashing.

Thanks to this site, I won't get ripped off, and I can warn others.
