I signed up with Appstar to start in February after I was to receive the savings comparison between Appstar and my current processor. I was told by Tami Rosselini, Senior Account Specialist, on February 2nd to only deal with her as my calls to other departments to get my machine set up went unanswered. I faxed her copies of my current provider then emailed her several days later as I hadn't heard back. I called her phone and left messages on her answering machine. I called her every day for 8 days and then emailed her again - still no reply. I then contacted the sales rep and he called the company and got me another name - Mike Lane - to contact about the information I needed. The rep was promised by Mike that he would take care of my account. I emailed Mike on February 26th asking for the originally requested information and again on March 4th. During this time I received my second bill (the first one was received before this was even activated! I was told I would be refunded for the monthly statement charge as it wasn't set up yet but this has never been done). The transaction rates were not what I was promised - surprise, surprise! I called another department and was told that this information was declined because it was entered incorrectly and that Tami or Mike had to redo it.in my March 4th email to Mike Lane I told him that if I did not get a response by the next day I was turning all information over the the Attorney Generals office as well as the Better Business Bureau. Within 5 minutes he responded that they hadnt received anything from me to do the comparison - good thing I keep records of documents and faxes. Tami called me back and told me she got my emails & information but since she gets in excess of 500 per day she could not possibly get back to every one! Maybe if this company did what was promised and provided customer service they wouldn't get so many emails and calls. During this time the sales rep quit Appstar and I have never received any information which as a customer I am entitled to. I sent a letter of concellation on April 1st, 22 days later I get a call that they never received anything - again surprise, surprise. And that I owe the company $495 early cancellation fees. Now I am getting calls that I owe Appstar over $1000 for early cancellation. I have talked to other business's in my area that also cancelled them due to the same reasons: Rates promised - never implemented; hidden fees; no customer service; phone calls, faxes, emails not returned; copies of their complete contracts not given to them. This company is very bad news. I entered into this in good faith - Appstar does not enter into anything in good faith. This company is a joke. Stay as far away as you can from them.
