My sister and I were in the process of modifying my sisters home loan. The person she spoke to said his name was Mr. Colton Wallace, I believe. Anyway, he sent some forms to my sister in the morning and told her she needed to complete the forms along with providing her checking account information, and send everything back within 24 hours.
The letter is deceiving in that it says at the top, "Congratulations, your loan modification has been approved, " which seems like a play on words, as the company has only received our information just Thursday, July 29, and was requesting all our personal information and authorization to access our checking account for $1,500.
We were apprehensive due to the fact that Thursday he said that the service was free. Looking at the letter, states that they will be performing a forensic audit, and charging $1,500, which was not previously discussed. To say the least, we became very suspicious especially with Mr. Wallace telling my sister she has to hurry up and send the form back, because if she doesn't no one will be able to help her on her case because he called the mortgage company and they red flagged her case, which locks down her case from being discussed with anyone, Including my sister. He instructed her not to call her mortgage company to discuss anything, another red flag.
Upon further digging on the internet, we found a letter for the company to stop doing business.

Please be cautious of anyone who keeps changing their names, the amount they request, and who have actions against them in another State.
