Aspire DECEPTIVE no late payments gave an credit limit increase then sold the account to Aspire Internet

Providian contacted me, as they did many others, about rebuilding my credit and that using their card would payoff if payments were made on time. I had the card for a year and a half.in that period of time, I never had a late payment, always sent in a great deal more money than was required, and they even increased my credit limit saying my payment record warranted the new credit.

As Murphy's law always grabs you when you least expect it, I had two fairly large purchases that I had to make and put them on the card. A short time later, I received a letter from Aspire saying they bought my account from Providian and that they were closing the account. Needless to say, I am still seeing red. I wrote to them to request the reasons (they stated they would respond with the reasons). Never heard back from them.

So, I called them and got to talk to a "rock" with a written script. No help at all. If there is a class action suit against Providian and/or Aspire, count me in! I am sick and tired of the economy going south, interest rates being the lowest they have been in years and these @#@# credit card companies playing God and actually thinking they are justified charging 25% or more to people who are trying to get back on their feet.

These companies generally have CEO's making millions, staff making squat. Greed is good? MY ASS! Help put a stop to this madness.
