Illegal collection activity

I received a collection settlement letter from MCM in Oaks, Pa in regard to a 2006 outstanding balance of $84.27 Ac#8535167339.in a letter dated July to CBCS Ac# 00700382415839000001, I stated that I had signed up for a 300 min plan and my average usage for the 5 years use, was in the 70 to 90 min per month. So why would I agree to an additional charge of $9.99 per month for unlimited night and wknd use. This was a change which I NEVER authorized. The letter also indicated that this was the same letter sent a year earlier to who ever was collecting at that time.in reply, I received a letter indicating that the account would be closed, the amount written off, and the three MAJOR CREDIT AGENCIES would be notified that the entries on this were in error.

After receiving this letter, I assumed this matter was clesed. Yet 2 years later this issue again comes up. Perhaps it is time to contact the appropriate state and fed regulatory agencies about these practices..
