Ripoff trying to collect on an unknown 10 year old debt

First, I would like to say that this website has been very informative. I received a phone call from my sister in Minnesota today. She was very upset over a collection call she received from a man who was verbally abusive to her. He claimed she owed thousands of dollars, but was willing to settle the debt for a mere 10%. The catch was that she was supposed to post date a check and have it on his desk the next day. A man who called himself "Justin" sent an email to my sister stating that her credit report would show that her debt was paid off if she did this. That's when I told her to send everything to me.

I am a concerned sister, but I am also a licensed attorney in Illinois.

I am curious about the lawsuits against CamCo that have been mentioned on the website. Does anyone know the captions of those cases, case numbers, attorney name or law firms that represented the plaintiffs?

In addition I would like to know the firm that represented CAMCo.

I am going to investigate filing a suit on my sister's behalf.
