Met Life Bank
Met Life Bank takes money for MM accts., sends personal info to others and will not release funds in a timely manne

Business & Finance

Met Life Bank was happy to open a MM acct for my $ and have it tied to my personal checking acct for transfers and an ATM card for convenient access to funds. Personal checks were part of the package as well. They mailed my checks to someone, which contained my address, etc., and then needed to close my acct and open another. This included a new ATM card. They would not overnight a new ATM card; and froze access to my funds for 10 days. I talked to everyone and all I heard was "I am sorry." I even talked to the VP which pushed it along to 10 days. This took hours of my time getting through to the automated system, as I felt I should have access to my money. Finally, when I asked about a transfer I was told 2-3 business days to close the account and was advised to wait until Tuesday. I did so and as usual, I had to call them and finally call the main office to find out that due to an error on their part again, my money did not get transferred until Thursday and would not be available until following Tuesday or Wednesday. I of course had to open the account on Tuesday, awaiting for the funds on Friday and it was a holiday weekend. All I heard was, "I am sorry." I needed some of the cash that Friday for important reasons and again they tied up my funds until the following week. All I can say is I am sorry I have ever dealt with them.
