I applied HFA for my mortgage loan awhile back... But only today I study a criticism about how they've a department (?) that does appraisals. If accurate, I discover that really dubious. The appraiser they fixed me-up with low balled the estimation to this type of diploma that I and my agent were actually SURPRISED. I'd previously discussed the selling price right down to that which was a legit cost on both sides. He evaluated it for $27k below that cost ($316k right down to $289k). I really don't believe he actually went in the home! Therefore to remain with HFA, these were likely to cost me a greater rate of interest, etc. To get a 'riskier' mortgage. I taken care of a second appraiser who explained she could not believe another man's evaluation. She quickly evaluated it for that price.

The only real reason i went HFA was since their final expenses were cheaper compared to different creditors (price was exactly the same). -approximately I thought.
