Business & Finance

Well,

Pinnacle has to be probably one of the worst collection agencies ever!!! I got a call around the beginning of may in regards to my T-Mobile Bill. I was speaking to a Paul Ortloff at the company. I knew I owed the bill and it wasn't in dispute. I agreed to make pre-set payments on the account I owed $650.00 and we settled it for $325.00 with me being able to make monthly payments. This bill was not on my credit report I made the rep PROMISE me three times that he was not going to put it on my credit report so long as I make the payments on time. He agreed. I told him to take the first payment of $50.00 plus a $15.00 one time payment out of my account at the end of May. I then promised to make a $100.00 payment every month until the account way paid off. He was also supposed to send me a letter advising of this.

WELL!!! Two weeks later I decided to check my bank statement and found out that DISPITE the fact that they didn't have permission to do so, they took the money out of my account while I was initially on the phone with them. And they charged me two one time payments. I called and the number they had listed on their website just plays the beginning of Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours" for ever and nobody picks up! Fusterated I called T-mobile who got me directed right to a representative. I advised that not only did I ever receive the settlement letter they promised me but they took money out of my account WITHOUT my permission. The lady on the phone pretty much called me a liar and then I demanded to speak with her supervisor. I got "Renee" on the phone and I advised that not only did they take money out of my account without my consent I never received the settlement letter I asked for. Renee at first stated that all settlement offers have to be paid within 30 days and that there was no record of a settlement offer. I told her I was advised that I can pay it over time. She then told me she was not going to honor that agreement. I told her that she will honor the agreement or I will file a complaint with the Attorney General's office of my home state because I do believe that it was a binding agreement and I have lived up to my end of the bargin and that if she is going to collect debts in New York State she will have to follow New York State laws. Renee advised she will pull the call to see and then call me back. Five minutes later I received a call back from her confirming that what I stated was true and she will honor the agreement. The SECOND time they agreed to honor it.

She asked if I can have the balance paid by July and I agreed to it. I did tell her since her company took money out of my account without my permission that I do not trust them and I will send the payment by some other means. She advised me to send it via MONEY GRAM! On the next pay date. When I tried to send it Money Gram the information was not correct so I went back home and made the payment online the following morning with a note advising that the money gram information was not correct. I got a CONFIRMATION email from Pinnacle that the payment was received but they never took it out of my account. Up until this time I had flawless credit. I went to get an offer for credit but was rejected because of "delinquent account" when I pulled up my credit report Pinnacle had reported it DESPITE our agreement that we had stating that they would not. I called PISSED off and got a male supervisor I advised of three things

1) they one again violated our agreement
2) The information given by Renee was not correct on how to send wire payments
3) I got confirmation of my payment

When I advised that I made the payment online and got confirmation the male supervisor at first said that the payment was declined by my bank. When I told him I was going to call the bank to verify this with them because I had more than enough money in my account he changed his story and said he didn't know what happened to the payment but paying it online does not guarantee that they will process it. I advised that my credit card information is floating around their company and they need to find it. He told me "if it wasn't taken out your account by now then it won't be taken out" I also told him I need him to take the payment as a ONE TIME payment over the phone and take this off my credit report he told me he would look into it and never called me back!

On Sunday I file a complaint with the Attorney General's office in my state sent all my proof that they keep violating our agreement and CC Tmobile onto it. I want these people to be put OUT of business! They are not above the law and SHAME on T-mobile for dealing with them!
