I regrettably had them prepare my 2009 tax returns. Imagine my surprise when a letter arrived from the IRS demanding additional tax with interest and penalty. The IRS told me what the company e-filed was different than the copy of the 1040 they gave me. However when I contacted the company to ask they stand by Liberty's "unconditional" satisfaction guarantee and refund the tax preparation fees, their position was that since I had signed a form authorizing them to e-file when I picked up my tax forms and that form had the correct amount, I had been advised how much tax I owed. Not only did I never receive a copy of that form but they had no explanation why the copy of the 1040 did not agree with the form. So much for a satisfaction guarantee.
